Medical Transport

Since its inception, the Aide Médicale et Caritative France-Ukraine association has been committed to providing essential aid to those who need it most. The current situation in Ukraine, marked by a precarious health context exacerbated by conflict and economic crises, makes this mission more crucial than ever. Medical infrastructure, often rudimentary and poorly equipped, cannot adequately meet the urgent needs of patients, particularly in rural and isolated areas.

To address this situation, our medical transport project aims to provide medical teams in remote areas with vehicles equipped with advanced resuscitation and monitoring devices, ensuring quality care on the road.

The needs in Ukraine are evolving rapidly. Following the Russian invasion, the country has become the most mined in the world. Approximately one-fifth of Ukrainian territory has been directly exposed to combat, and it is estimated that one-third of the territory is potentially contaminated by dangerous and explosive objects from combat, mines, and unexploded ordnance.

More than 1,100 civilians have already lost their lives, and several hundred have been injured due to mine explosions in liberated territories. Over 400,000 explosive devices have been neutralized by the pyrotechnic teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

To meet the diverse needs, our association has provided:

  • Standard ambulances equipped for patient transport and routine interventions.
  • 4×4 all-terrain ambulances designed to reach the most remote and devastated areas, often inaccessible to standard vehicles.
  • Hearses to ensure the dignified transport of the deceased.
  • Vehicles adapted for the transport of people with reduced mobility (TPMR), allowing everyone to access medical care.

Each vehicle is equipped with the latest generation of medical equipment: modern stretchers, defibrillators, artificial respirators, etc. These tools ensure the provision of quality care, even in the most challenging conditions.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have already managed to deliver over 150 ambulances and 30 special vehicles to Ukraine. These vehicles are deployed in the regions most affected by the conflict, particularly in Mykolaiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv, where they:

  • Quickly evacuate the injured to the best-equipped medical centers.
  • Stabilize patients on-site with the help of mobile medical teams.
  • Facilitate access to healthcare for the most vulnerable populations, especially the elderly, children, and people with reduced mobility.

AMCFU works closely with local authorities, humanitarian organizations, and Ukrainian hospitals to ensure that the vehicles are used optimally and meet the most urgent needs.

Every vehicle we send to Ukraine represents hope for thousands of people. But our mission is far from over. To continue saving lives, we need your help.
